  • Allison Korn, Claire Femiano , Betty H. Myers were invited to submit works to the 2022 Blossoms of Hope Theme Show:  Branches, Blooms and New Beginnings, hosted by the Columbia Art Center, April 7-23, 2022. Columbia Art Center Window Gallery. This annual theme show features two-dimensional art by 32 artists inspired by the theme Birds and Blossoms. The show’s mission is to heighten awareness of Blossoms of Hope of Howard County and the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center of Howard County General Hospital. Myers were invited to submit work to VISIONARY WOMEN: Healing and Hope, an invitational show celebrating the talents of women from Howard County and Maryland during National Women’s History Month. Reception Sunday March 12.   • Aileen Broider, Judith Devito, Claire Femiano  Allison Korn,  Betty H. Myers, and Shelley von Hagen Jamar submitted works for the Baltimore Watercolor Society (BWS) Exhibit for Associate Members at the Slayton House, Columbia, MD  in February.
    Awards: Honorable mentions: Shelley Von Hagen-Jamar for Uyghur Trader in Kashgar & Allison Korn for Modern Art in the Living Room and Third place for Claire Femiano for Celosia and Greenery.

2020

  • Judith Devito, Claire FemianoAllison Korn,  Betty H. Myers, Irene Whitaker and Shelley von Hagen Jamar are donating works for  this year’s The Art of Stewardship (TAOS).
    Due to Corona Virus (COVID-19 Pandemic and the state of Maryland’s cautionary measures to reduce large crowd gatherings, the Conservancy is postponing the Art of Stewardship Show and Opening Reception. Options are being explored.
    The TAOS show is a forum for artists to promote stewardship of nature; all pieces are donated by the artists and are for sale at $100 each. All proceeds support the education programs at the Howard County Conservancy. Their programs educate the public and engage youth and adults in a wide array of activities that are so important in helping our community become better stewards of our environment. The TAOS show will run from March 30th– May 28that the Howard County Conservancy.
  • Karen Carpenter, Allison Korn and Betty H. Myers  were invited to submit work to VISIONARY WOMEN: The Journey: Paving the Way, Art About Women By Women an invitational show celebrating the talents of women from Howard County and Maryland during National Women’s History Month. Barbara Lawson was invited to jury the show.  Reception ocurred on Sunday March 8, 2-4pm. Show dates: March 8-March 29, 2020. As of 3/13/2003, the center is open for viewing, but not for special events, due to Corona Virus (COVID-19 Pandemic and the state of Maryland’s cautionary measures to reduce large crowd gatherings.

  • Deanna Williford  James River Art League’s members at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, 1800 Lakeside Ave, Henrico, from September 23 to November 11, 2019.
  • Deanna Williford  solo exhibit of her Zentangle Inspired Art at the North Courthouse Library, Midlothian, VA beginning September 1, 2019 and continuing until October 30, 2019.
  • Deanna Williford  58th Annual Labor Day Show,  August 28 – September 28, 2019 at the RAL Art Center, Kilmarnock, VA. The reception and awards will be Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5-7 pm.
  • Deanna Williford‘s painting, “Hidden Harbor,” won first place at Side Street Gallery’s “Let’s Get Naughti” Reception on August 17, 2019. The show runs through September 30, 2019.
  • Deanna Williford’s painting, “Hons Day Out,” was juried into the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Regional Watercolor Exhibition located in the BlackRock Center for the Arts, Germantown, MD, June-July, 2018.
  • Irene Whitaker  featured in 2 shows for the Creative Aging month in association with the Delaplaine Center, 40 S. Carrol Street in Frederick, MD.  The exhibit celebrates the works of artists 70 years and older in various media. “The Over 70 Show”  runs from August 3 to Sept 1, 2019 and the M&T Senior Scholarship Showcase from August through October, 2019

  • Deanna Williford participated in the Tuckahoe Artists Association’s Exhibit from May 1-28, 2019 at the Virginia Eye Institute, Richmond, VA.
  • At the James River Art League’s Annual Judged Exhibit, Deanna Williford’s painting placed third in the Watercolor Division.  The show was judged by Adele Castillo and held at the First Unitarian Universalist, Richmond, VA from May 29-July 28, 2019.
  • Claire Femiano, Allison Korn, Martha Lohaus, Betty H. Myers, Kathy Tillman, Shelley von Hagen Jamar and Irene Whitaker donated original paintings to the 2019 Howard Conservancy art exhibit fund raiser. Each artist created 10”x10” or 8″x10″nature-inspired artwork for the 2019 Art of Stewardship event, Nature through the Eyes of the Artists–Preservation of the Land and it’s Legacy. All proceeds benefit the Howard County Conservancy.   • Karen Carpenter‘s work is featured at the American Association of University Women, AASUW Annual Art Show, Feb
