Lawson were invited to show in the 2024 Blossoms of Hope of Howard County. This annual invitational theme show raises awareness about the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center of Howard County General Hospital. Theme: Courage Unfolding Through Dark and Light. Allison Korn, Claire Femiano , Kathy Tillman, Betty H. Myers, Shelley von Hagen-Jamar, Barbara K. Lawson were invited to show in the 2024 Visionary Women. Theme: Speaking up/Speaking out. Further,  Kathy Tillman received a 3rd place award for her felted piece Sky Woman Falling and Barbara Lawson received a new award titled Breaking Rules for her 3 sculptures Guts of Sin, American Justice, and Blind in One Eye, Can’t See Out of the Other. Allison KornBetty H. Myers, Claire Femiano, Barbara Lawson  and Martha Lohaus and Shelley von Hagen-Jamar, had works in the Howard County Center for the Arts 2024 HOCO Open, a salon style show from December 16, 2023 – February 3, 2024 @ 4:00 pm. Reception January 12 @ 6:00 pm8:00 pm at the Main Gallery, Howard County Center for the Arts 8510 High Ridge Road, Ellicott City, MD, United States. Reception includes live music, refreshments, and the presentation of awards.

  • Allison Korn, Claire Femiano , Betty H. Myers were invited to submit works to the 2022 Blossoms of Hope Theme Show:  Branches, Blooms and New Beginnings, hosted by the Columbia Art Center, April 7-23, 2022. Columbia Art Center Window Gallery. This annual theme show features two-dimensional art by 32 artists inspired by the theme Birds and Blossoms. The show’s mission is to heighten awareness of Blossoms of Hope of Howard County and the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center of Howard County General Hospital.     Awards: Honorable mentions: Shelley Von Hagen-Jamar for Uyghur Trader in Kashgar & Allison Korn for Modern Art in the Living Room and Third place for Claire Femiano for Celosia and Greenery.
